Hey guys,
Here’s a piece I totally forgot doing earlier this year, until I stumbled across it on my hard drive. It was an experimental piece on the subject “Generation Y,” for SooJin Buzelli at Plansonsor. Also pictured is the final graphite version of the drawing (featuring a cameo by illustrator Scott Brundage and his dog), and a progress sketch.

I really like that the direct reference to the idea in this (the Y on the shirt) is in the background, just a bit covered up. Really cool composition!
Did you get reference for all of these figures? All friends and family?
And I'm just now seeing all of the hidden Ys in this piece…I'm slow on the uptake!
I love this piece even more now. Very cool.
Smart, subtle, and attractive. I do not regret the minutes I spent looking at this image.
thanks guys! Daniel, I did use friends for reference on this piece. Thanks for looking and finding the hidden Y's. My initial concern was that no one would catch them.
Man I absolutely love the way you draw people, do you still host the figure drawing meet up?
That is an excellent likeness of Scott. The use of white helps pop out those Ys.
Please get a Tumblr!!! : D
Nicely done.
