If anyone recalls, several months ago I did a big job for Esquire Magazine. One of those illustrations was of a bar fight and unfortunately it got killed before I ever got to start coloring it. It was one of my favorite pieces and I vowed to eventually color it when I had some free time.
Well, I finally colored it, and here it is.
Interestingly, I’ve noticed that when there’s no deadline it takes me a lot longer to finish something. I tend to want to experiment a lot, and this piece was no exception. I’m happy with it, but not quite sure how happy just yet. I consider that to be a good sign.
Anyway, have a great week!
