Best Friends – Comic

This comic one I dug up in one of my old sketchbooks from a while back, I had an email bout with a former roomate and wrote this thing up, noting to myself the silliness in that we were both getting extremely pissed off at each other while miles away. I’m sure most people who chat online with friends can relate to this, as well as an entire range of emotions that seem rather bizarre for us to experience while in rooms alone from one-another.

Also, this piece was a color experiment, I’m teaching myself how to make duotone files so that I can make pretty pictures with limited palettes! The colors used in this are black and red, the same palette that they used back in the old days to colorize Leyendecker’s (and others’, of course) magazine covers. The range you get from those two colors is pretty incredible.
